The next stop on our Back-to-School Backpacking trip is the “Show-Me State” of Missouri!
At 98% of students at Gateway Math and Science Prep School in St. Louis receive free or reduced lunch. Ms. Hargrove teaches 7th grade math at Gateway, and hopes to level the playing field for her students:
My kids have a lot of worries but supplies should not be one of them. They should be able to do projects with markers and paper. They should have their own copies of worksheets, tests and notes without having to share or copy them from the board. They should have pens to take notes and write down the results of their math investigations. My students are deserving young mathematicians in the making who need support to develop their inquisitive minds.
Give $5 to help Ms. Hargrove create a worry-free classroom where her young mathematicians can excel.
